Ahnensaal im Palais von Heespen (Rathaus)

The former Heespen Palace was built around 1610–15 and has been used as an administrative building since 1943. The Ancestral Hall is particularly impressive, having retained its historic furnishings, including a fireplace and several tapestries.

The Ancestral Hall is featured as part of the “Esens and Its Treasures” city tour every Thursday (March 15 through October 30).
