Haltestelle Stade Bahnhof - Moorexpress

  • Station

Take a trip back in time on this historic train between the Hanseatic cities of Stade and Bremen.

The railroad line between the Hanseatic cities of Stade and Bremen has been in existence for over 100 years. Back then, the train—which today evokes a sense of nostalgia—was a fast mode of transportation—compared to the peat barges—and rightly bore the name “Express.” By today’s standards, a ride on the Moorexpress is a relaxing experience that offers unique views of northern Germany’s Teufelsmoor landscape. The Moorexpress has 90 seats, and its bike trailer can accommodate 25 bicycles.

Advance reservations are recommended, including at the Stade Tourist Information Office. Further information can be found here.
