3 Harbors - 2 towns - 1 National Park Center

Overlooking the museum harbor and located in close proximity—both geographically and thematically—to the German Siel Harbor Museum, the National Park Center is housed in the historic, listed building known as the Alte Pastorei.

With our events centered around the Wadden Sea, we’ll guide you through the entire North Sea resort, taking in both Siel villages and the three harbors from Carolinensiel to Harlesiel and beyond.

In the nostalgic-looking rooms, an exhibition featuring hands-on activities, interactive elements, and an aquarium with a 360° view invites you to discover the Wadden Sea, its inhabitants, and the natural history of the coastal region. The cozy shop offers regional goods and sustainable everyday products. In addition to public events such as mudflat hikes, boat trips, and special regional tours, customized group programs for all ages can also be booked. At the Carolinensiel Elementary School, the center’s team trains students from all grade levels to become Junior Rangers.

- Advent season: Every weekend from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- New Year’s: Dec. 27, 28, 29, 30 and Jan. 2, 3, 4 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Das Nationalpark-Haus ist barrierefrei zugänglich, besitzt eine barrierefreie Toilette und verfügt über einen Fahrtstuhl. Für Wattführungen steht ein Wattmobil zur Verfügung, das zuvor telefonisch angefordert werden kann. Für Gruppenanfragen kann das Nationalpark-Haus die Veranstaltung auf verschiedene Beeinträchtigungen anpassen.

Directions & Parking facilities

Die Anreise erfolgt über die Kirchstraße, da aus der anderen Richtung eine Einbahnstraße die direkte Anfahrt an das Gebäude verhindert.

Mit dem Bus erreicht man das Nationalpark-Haus fußläufig von der Haltestelle "Feuerwehr" entlang des Museumshafens in 5 Minuten.
