The Neukloster Forest is a beech forest with trees up to 200 years old. Originally used by the monastery from which it takes its name, it is home to some rare animal and plant species.

Take a short hike of about 4.5 km through the Neukloster Forest. From the “Pfingstmarktplatz” parking lot, the W 4 “Neukloster Forest Trail” leads into the Neukloster Forest, past historical and archaeological treasures such as burial mounds and wayside crosses. Follow the signs to the Friedwald parking lot, then turn left there to return to the “Pfingstmarktplatz” parking lot.
