Cuxhaven's maritime museum tells of the hard work on board the fishing trawlers of the great deep-sea fishery and of the dangers at sea, shipwreck and the fight for survival.
Two historic fish packing halls together with a modern exhibition building form the authentic location of "Windstärke 10" in the middle of the port area. There is a permanent exhibition covering almost 2,000 m² as well as a large room for special exhibitions. A play area specially designed for younger children and an attractive museum store complete the offer.

Mit dem Auto aus Richtung Bremen:
Im Kreisverkehr am Ende der A 27 die zweite Ausfahrt nehmen (Hinweisschild "Windstärke 10"). Dem Straßenverlauf ca. 3 km folgen. Nach Passieren der gastronomischen "Fischmeile" (rechter Hand) macht die Straße erst eine fast rechtwinklige Links-, dann eine Rechtskurve. Ca. 30 m nach dieser Kurve biegen Sie nach rechts auf unseren Parkplatz ab.
Mit dem Auto aus Richtung Hamburg/Otterndorf:
B 73 bis zum Kreisverkehr am Ende der A 27. Im Kreisverkehr nehmen Sie die erste Ausfahrt (Hinweis auf "Windstärke 10"). Dann wie oben.
