The northern of our two tide-independent lakes has two great bathing spots with an artificial sandy beach. So put on your swimsuit and head for the lake. Even the little ones - who can't swim yet - have been thought of here: there is a separate non-swimmer area and during the season the DLRG is on site to keep a watchful eye. There is also a paved bathing island in the lake.
Showers, changing rooms and toilets are available and for little explorers, the adventure playground with giant slide and climbing ship is just around the corner. For team players, there is a soccer pitch, basketball court and volleyball court.
Stomach rumbling? The Deichkieker restaurant or the snack bars on the anchorage are looking forward to your visit!
The southern of the two lakes is a small water sports paradise: On the eastern side is the Wakegarden (wakeboarding, windsurfing) and the "Südsee-Wassersport" surf school and boat rental (SUP, canoe, pedal boat, kayak) with jetty, bathing area and a nice beach bar. The soccer golf course, the play & fun barn and the mini golf course are only a few minutes' walk away.
A large parking lot is located in the immediate vicinity of both lakes.

Price info
- The town of Otterndorf charges a visitor’s fee year-round. Day visitors 18 years of age and older must pay this fee upon entering the beach or the See Achtern Diek recreational area to the visitor service staff at Nordseebad Otterndorf. Vacationers pay the fee directly to their landlord. Residents of the Land Hadeln joint municipality are exempt from the fee.
Jan. 1 – Apr. 30: €2.50 per day
May 1 – Sept. 15: €3.00 per day
Sept. 16 – Dec. 31: €2.50 per day
