The See Achtern Diek leisure complex offers vacation recreation for the whole family with extensive play and recreation areas, water sports facilities and lots of playgrounds.

The See Achtern Diek leisure complex has lots of climbing equipment and slides, a play structure disguised as a beach cabin and plenty of space to run and play. There is also a beach volleyball and soccer pitch as well as a skating, mini golf and soccer golf course.

Fans of water sports will also get their money's worth at the leisure facility. Be it water skiing and wakeboarding in the Wakegarden or a visit to Südsee Wassersport, where windsurfing can be practiced, where canoes and pedal boats are available and where SUP is no longer a foreign word.

And culture lovers are also in the right place here. The lake stage, located in the middle of the leisure complex on the lakeside promenade, is the venue for performances and events throughout the summer months.

Culinary delights play an important role, especially on vacation. The leisure complex offers a wide range of dining options: Sales stands, the Deichkieker restaurant, the Freibeuter beach bar or the Krämerhus.

Visitor Fee and Fees for Private Providers (Water Sports)

The town of Otterndorf collects a visitor’s tax year-round. Day visitors aged 18 and older pay this fee upon entering the beach or the See Achtern Diek recreational area to the visitor service staff at Nordseebad Otterndorf. Vacationers pay the fee directly to their landlord. Residents of the Land Hadeln joint municipality are exempt from the fee.

Jan. 1 – Apr. 30: €2.50 per day
May 1 – Sept. 15: €3.00 per day
Sept. 16 – Dec. 31: €2.50 per day
