The German Naval Museum is located right next to Wilhelmshaven's landmark, the Kaiser Wilhelm Bridge. Even from a distance, the museum ships invite visitors to take a look: Germany's guided missile destroyer "Mölders" with its towering masts, the slender silhouette of the fast patrol boat "S71 Gepard", behind it the brawny hull of the submarine "U10" and in between the compact mine hunting boat "Weilheim". On board, you can experience at first hand how the soldiers lived and worked and what their tasks were in the changing times between the Cold War and current missions. The museum's award-winning permanent exhibition embeds this enseble in a broad historical framework under the motto "People - Times - Ships".
