The large red brick house was built in 1792 as a merchant's house and granary. It served as a hotel in the 19th century and later as a tax office. Since 2011, it has been the official building of the joint municipality of Land Hadeln. In the middle of the house is a passageway to the inner courtyard, which is adjoined on the left by the town barn from the late 18th century, which was originally used as a coach house.
