1946 People in post-war Germany are starved not only materially but also culturally. Many more or less professional theaters are founded.
1952 Opening of the newly built Wilhelmshaven City Theater in the building of the former Naval Intelligence Office. Since then, home of the Landesbühne Niedersachsen Nord
1958 - 1973 New construction and renovation of the venues
1976 Construction of the workshop building with the introduction of the theater pedagogical model
1979 - 1994 Establishment of children's and youth theater and founding of the first senior theater group
2013 Foundation of the Förderverein der Landesbühne in Wilhelmshaven e.V.
2016 Opening of the venue "TheOs - Theater im Oceanis"

Always on the road - the Landesbühne Niedersachsen Nord GmbH is the municipal theater for 12 communities. Year after year, the Landesbühne travels from East Frisia to Emsland and Oldenburg Münsterland.
As tastes are known to differ, the Landesbühne presents a wide-ranging program for audiences from the age of three. From classics, comedies and cult musicals to the latest contemporary drama, the repertoire offers all facets of stagecraft.
