The UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea Visitor Center is the largest education and information center for the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park. The national park is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea, which stretches from Esbjerg in Denmark to Den Helder in the Netherlands.

The Wadden Sea Visitor Center has set itself the task of:

Promoting the national park.
Supporting the conservation goals of the national park.
Promoting nature and environmental awareness.
Contributing to the acceptance of conservation.

In short: Our aim is to bring you closer to the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park - because the Wadden Sea is a habitat that is ecologically particularly valuable and unique in its extent.

The Wadden Sea Visitor Center is run by a non-profit association.

The members of the association are nature conservation associations and initiatives active on the coast as well as the city of Wilhelmshaven.

The members of the association's board are the city of Wilhelmshaven, the environmental foundation WWF Germany, a representative of the other nature conservation associations and the national park administration.
