This lovingly designed museum, with 1,650 m² of exhibition space, has undergone extensive modernization in recent years. Since the renovation, all floors of the former provisions warehouse have been made accessible to people with disabilities. Behind its thick walls, treasures from ancient times are on display, including a 5,000-year-old gold arm ring and the world-famous bronze wheels of Stade from around 700 B.C. The Hanseatic era is also brought to life in five themed areas.
Especially for children: Travel in a time capsule with the alien Milo through the various episodes of Stade’s city history.

Das Museum Schwedenspeicher liegt am Rande der historischen Altstadt von Stade. Von der A26 der Ausschilderung Richtung Innenstadt folgen.
