In the past, the Greundiek transported timber from Sweden and Finland or coal from England to the Hanseatic city. This historic coastal motor vessel—or “Kümo” for short—is registered as a technical cultural monument of Lower Saxony. It has been preserved largely in its original condition and has been seaworthy again since 2001. It serves as an ambassador for the “Lower Elbe Maritime Landscape.” In keeping with tradition, it calls at ports in the region and cities in the Baltic Sea area. Cultural events are held here, and during the summer months, day trips and short cruises are offered on the Schwinge and the Elbe.

Das Museumsschiff Greundiek liegt am Rande der historischen Altstadt von Stade. Von der A26 der Ausschilderung Richtung Innenstadt folgen.

Anreise mit dem Regionalzug aus Richtung Hamburg oder Cuxhaven möglich. Zusätzlich fährt aus Richtung Hamburg die S-Bahn-Linie 3 nach Stade. Das Museumsschiff Greundiek liegt einen kurzen Spaziergang vom Bahnhof entfernt. Contact person
